We also on request use Sodium Vapour Lamps, a gas discharge older technology which uses sodium in an excited state to produce light. There are two varieties of such lamps: low pressure and high pressure.

Which ever one you chose, Illumination time is generally from dusk to dawn and is fully automated via a photocell (light sensor). This system stores reserve power to allow for up to several days of cloudy weather with little or no sun. The light head is fitted with LVDs or LEDs that have a typical lifespan of approximately 100,000 hours (about 22 years). For each one you chose, the lamp head attaches to the support arm which, in turn, fixes to the pole. The pole has an integral base which can be bolted direct to a level, solid surface. A ground anchor kit and templates are included. A battery box is supplied to facilitate the rechargeable batteries.

The 140w or 180w solar panel attaches direct to the pole and is rated for use in most applications. For systems using 744 LED's a 140w solar panel is recommended for most locations although a higher wattage solar panel can be supplied for more demanding locations or areas of limited sunshine. For systems using 972 LED's a 180w solar panel is recommended. We can supply higher wattage solar panels, where necessary, at additional cost.

Light output is equal to a conventional street light of approximately 200-400 Watts (subject to LED quantity in lamp). This solar street light can be custom made to meet your specifications. We can install any quantity of LVDs or LEDs with the lamp head (up to 1000) and we can supply almost any size solar panel. This 24 volt system is supplied complete, with battery box, two 12 volt batteries and an installation kit. Standard color of fixture is silver/gray. Custom colors by special order only, at extra cost and for large quantity orders only. The cost of the system will depend upon the height of the pole, the quantity of LVDs or LED's installed within the lamp case, the solar panel wattage and the battery capacity.

Street Lights without Poles
ECOSOLAR ™ innovative solar street fixtures use the latest technology to ensure optimum reliability and performance. We also offer the same system but fitted with 972 LED's with a light output of almost 6000 Lumens and suited to applications where more intense illumination is required such as bank premises and other high security locations, or when the lamp is mounted on greater heights. The lamp head attaches to the support arm which, in turn, fixes to almost any flat, vertical surface such as a wall or the side of a building. It may also be attached to an existing pole or post. A battery box is supplied to facilitate the rechargeable battery. The 140w solar panel can be fixed to the roof of a building or using the support brackets (supplied), it can be fixed to a flat vertical surface. For systems using 972 LED'S we offer a 180w solar panel. Light output is equal to conventional street lighting of approximately 200-400 Watts (subject to LED quantity in lamp).

The light head attaches to the support arm which, in turn, can be fixed to an existing round pole, square post or to any solid, vertical surface such as a wall or side of a building This fixture is supplied with most necessary parts to enable installation. A battery box is supplied to facilitate the rechargeable batteries. A higher output solar panel is available, upon request, at additional cost. ECOSOLAR ™ Feeding-Bird Single Light variant is very exciting in its esthetics as the panel and box depict a bird feeding on the pole. We are currently researching on the possibility of perching the bird on a swivel-controlled beam to be powered by a solar tracking devise. The idea is to have the panel move in the direction of the sun as the latter travels from the east to the west.
